About

Built for the household whose finances have outgrown spreadsheets.

What Ironlake is

A personal financial governance system for HNW and lower-end UHNW households. Written policy, structured reviews, after-tax reality, multi-entity architecture, and behavioral discipline — the work a good advisor or family-office team would do, in software the user owns.

Who it's for

The primary audience is self-directed HNW households — managing their own wealth, transitioning away from a paid advisor, or facing the windfalls, year-end decisions, retirement transitions, and inheritances that bring acute financial moments into a household. The secondary audience is advisor-companion households who keep their advisor but want to know the state of their own finances. Both audiences get the same product surface; the marketing emphasis leads with the primary because the buying moments are more concrete.

How the product fits a household

Three depths of data commitment, all in the same Companion subscription. Start with an Asset Allocation Model and an IPS (about 30 minutes). Add positions when allocation precision unlocks features you want. Add tax lots when the Loss Harvesting Scanner and capital-gains scenarios are worth the import effort. Each tier is useful on its own. The product never demands a full data load before delivering value.

What it isn't

Ironlake is decision support and analytics. It is not a registered investment adviser. It does not place trades. It does not tell you which specific securities to buy or sell. The user always decides; Ironlake equips them with the math, the IPS rule, and the journal to record the rationale.

How we think about advisors

Some advisors are excellent. Others aren't. The product doesn't take a side. Ironlake shows your true all-in cost, your performance against your IPS policy benchmark, and an agenda for your next meeting. The data tells the story. You — and your advisor — discuss it.

How we think about modeling

Most planning tools either oversimplify or overcomplicate. Ironlake takes a middle path: every projection runs three explicit scenarios — base, conservative, stressed — with a year-by-year failure marker per trace. Every assumption is visible and tweakable. No black box, no probability number to misinterpret, no methodology to defend. Just the math, the scenarios, and the question of whether the plan covers what you need.

Why “Ironlake”

Iron is durable. A lake is calm and clear. A wealth operating system should be both — built to last decades, calm through the cycles, and clear about what is actually going on. The brand is a reminder of how this product wants to feel.
